Start With Scope, Not Contractors

Before you engage anyone, define exactly what needs access, and when. Conveyors, transfer towers, pressure vessels, and structural steel each demand a different access method, and getting this wrong is what causes scaffold crews to hold up NDT technicians on day two.

Qualification Requirements Aren't Optional

IRATA certification, trade qualifications, and current insurance should all be confirmed before mobilisation, not chased mid-shutdown. Ask for documentation up front.

Safety Documentation to Request Before Day One

SWMS, risk assessments, rescue plans, and method statements should land on your desk before the crew arrives on site, aligned to IRATA ICOP and AS/NZS ISO 22846.
